UK operator Starspeed has welcomed two new staff members to its team: David Powell as a line pilot and Tom Lawlor in operations. Powell has accumulated 3,600 hours and has been a pilot since 1998 when he started flying training with the British Army. Since 2010 he has flown EC135s for the UK police. Lawlor is a Farnborough College of Technology aero engineering graduate, and says: “Working within operations at Starspeed gives me an excellent opportunity to ground my knowledge within the industry and gain a real understanding of the business from both sides of the flight.”

Director Simon Mitchell adds: “Welcoming David and Tom to our team signals a positive start to what will surely be another good year for Starspeed.”
