Spanish HEMS operator Inaer is to continue flying medical emergency missions in Bilbao, after its contract was renewed by Osakidetza, the public health service provider in the Basque region of Spain. Using an EC135 T2, the company carries out more than 300 missions per year. The current deal runs for two years, with the option to extend for a further two.

Inaer has operated a HEMS service for the Basque government since 2005, and has also renewed a contract for the regional government of Andalusia. This contract is effective until 2018. The Andalusian service includes five medical helicopters in the daytime for 12 hours a day.
