SaxonAir Charter, based at Norwich International airport, has commenced an official partnership with Norwich City Football Club as the club's preferred air travel provider. SaxonAir has supplied aircraft charter services to the club since the operator was formed over eight years ago.

Says ceo Alex Durand: “We are delighted to develop our relationship with Norwich City Football Club, as we welcome their return to the Premier League. This partnership enables us to enhance our services to the club, players and staff, and also to develop travel options for supporters. We also welcome the initiative from the club to work closer with partner businesses to collectively strengthen the profile of Norwich and the local region.”

SaxonAir has several aircraft located at Norwich airport, and position others in London and key European cities.

Stephen Hobin, Norwich City FC's head of partnerships, adds: “We are really pleased to build upon our already great relationship with SaxonAir. The partnership will fly the club's first team and backroom staff to a selection of away fixtures using aircraft based at SaxonAir's headquarters at Norwich.

“Our somewhat isolated geographical location means that choosing to fly to away games gives players the best possible preparation. We are looking to work closely with the team at SaxonAir to extend services to our supporters and commercial business partners.”
