Ostend, Belgium-based NHV Group, launch operator of the H175, has reached 1,000 flight hours with the rotorcraft, carrying out missions including offshore oil and gas crew transportation. The hours have been accumulated by NHV's two initial H175s, both of which entered service last December flying from Den Helder in Holland. The aircraft have since completed more than 750 flights and carried approximately 11,000 passengers, often in challenging North Sea weather conditions to a range of up to 175 nm and loaded with passengers and cargo.

The group intends to increase its fleet to 16 latest-generation helicopters, having placed an order for 10 in 2012 and a further six in 2014. “We are very pleased with the H175s,” remarks ceo Eric Van Hal. “Our pilots appreciate their excellent handling characteristics, plus the speed and range, while passengers are impressed with the cabin comfort, smooth ride and low noise levels.”
