Ivory Coast government receives AW139
The government of the Ivory Coast has taken delivery of an AW139 helicopter, the first of this type to enter service in the country.

The government of the Ivory Coast has taken delivery of an AW139 helicopter, the first of this type to enter service in the country.

The aircraft will perform passenger transport missions. More than 60 AW139s are now flying across Africa, and this growing fleet will soon be supported by an authorised service centre in the region. Orders for almost 900 AW139s have been placed by over 220 customers.

These helicopters will join two AW139 SAR helicopters that were ordered by OHS in late 2024 and are planned to enter service in the second quarter of 2026. They will take off from Aberdeen and operate in the North Sea.
