UK-based RVL Group is the latest company to sign a contract to use Commsoft's OASES maintenance software to control its varied fleet of multi-role specialist operations aircraft. The five-year contract will support RVL Group's fleet of close to 20 light twin piston and turbo- prop aircraft. The deal covers six OASES modules: core, airworthiness, planning, materials, line mainten-ance control and warranty.

The group also has the option to extend its use of OASES to include the commercial and production modules at a later date, as it expands its hangar operations at East Midlands airport.

OASES (Open Aviation Strategic Engineering System) is an MRO IT system which is said to offer significant technical sophistication. It is currently used by more than 50 customers supporting around 90 aviation operations, including national and regional carriers, cargo specialists, corporate aviation and charter operators worldwide.
