Belgian operator Abelag has collaborated with Take Air, based in Antwerp, to operate a King Air 200 on an all-you-can-fly membership scheme which hopes to emulate the success of Surf Air in the US. The aircraft will fly under Abelag's AOC and Take Air is now selling membership for e650 per month.

For that fee, members can fly any time on Take Air's scheduled flights between Antwerp and Zurich. Founder and ceo Matthieu Dardenne says that his is one of the newest aviation companies in Europe and the first new one in Belgium since 2003, and dubs the concept a 'fresh operation' for Europe.

He adds that he will look to transition to a King Air 350 'quickly', and expects Take Air to reach 100 members by the time it starts service; it currently has 30. He also indicates that he is interested in arranging flights to London, and is at the negotiating stage with several airports.
