Dubai-based seaplane tour operator Seawings is launching seaplane safaris to Sir Bani Yas Island as part of its expanding ‘lifestyle’ division. The desert island is located 91 nm off the coast of Abu Dhabi City and, as a conservation area, is home to over 13,000 animals. In partnership with Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas, who have a resort on the island, Seawings is making this remote part of the UAE accessible through private charter operations. Ceo Stuart Wheeler remarks: "I have always felt that Seawings and Sir Bani Yas are a natural fit. Sir Bani Yas is a magical place with so much to offer and by making the island more accessible we hope to bring a lot more of this magic to the residents and visitors." Seawings Tours provides scenic seaplane tours of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Clients can experience a water take-off and landing using an amphibian Cessna Caravan with leather seating. Every seat is a window seat and the flight routing has been designed to offer equal views from both sides of the aircraft.
