The board of directors of PrivatAir's Geneva headquarters has announced the appointment of António Menezes as ceo. After 12 years in the role, Greg Thomas is stepping down but retains the role of executive chairman. Menezes has previously held senior management roles at SATA, the Azorean government-owned carrier. He was most recently an executive member of the board of directors at Euro Atlantic, a widebody wet-lease specialist with a worldwide customer base.
Shareholders at PrivatAir believe that he will contribute greatly to the next phases of the company's development in light of his knowledge of airline technology solutions, low costs of operation and proactive global sales strategy and implementation.
