Solenta Aviation Group, based in Johannesburg, South Africa has signed an engine services agreement with Vector Aerospace Engine Services Atlantic Inc. The three-year agreement states that Vector will provide comprehensive fixed-wing aircraft engine maintenance, repair and overhaul services to the Solenta Aviation Group's turboprop engine fleet from its facilities in Summerside, Prince Edward Island in Canada, Johannesburg and Nairobi, Kenya.

“Our relationship with Vector Aerospace goes back many years,” says Mark Hurst, group md. “With its support, we have grown our fleet extensively over the past ten years and the tremendous customer focus and competitiveness is what differentiates Vector from its competitors.

“The company has managed to maintain a hands-on, personal relationship with us, despite becoming part of a much bigger group. Our belief is that in the aviation industry, your supply chain is as important as your customer base, and Vector Aerospace is one supplier that has become an integral part of delivering our own service offering to our global customers.”

Specific terms of the engine services agreement include engine repair, hot section inspections, testing, modifications, overhaul services and parts distribution on the PT6A and PW100 series aircraft gas turbine engines.
