G550 addition gives MHS flexibility and balance
MHS Aviation of Munich has started the operation of its first Gulfstream G550, one of the few operated commercially in Germany. The 14 seater, long range jet is said to be at the 'pinnacle' of MHS' growing fleet.

MHS Aviation of Munich has started the operation of its first Gulfstream G550, one of the few operated commercially in Germany. The 14 seater, long range jet is said to be at the 'pinnacle' of MHS' growing fleet.

The German operator was awarded the operation and management of this aircraft by an undisclosed owner, and this latest development expands its roster to 14.

“The competition in the ultra long range jet management sector is enormous, but our quality concept and competence convinced the owner,” says former cco Stefan Buschle.

“Our small and lean team, consisting of very skilled professionals, has huge experience in aircraft management and operation, and knows exactly how to operate this aircraft to its best potential.”

“With the G550, we have a flagship that will spearhead our growth in the management of large business jets.”

MHS says that it is looking to maintain a balanced fleet. Besides a focus on aircraft management, it will also continue to grow the operation with its regional aircraft Founded in 1979 as Munich Helicopter Services, the company has been headed up by Gerd Brandecker and his partner Axel André since their takeover in 2009.

Following the addition of two Learjets to an existing helicopter fleet, MHS has continued to expand, and its fleet is now made up of two Challenger 604s, five Learjets from LR31 to LR60, a Phenom 100, four Dornier Do328, and two AW109s configured for vip.
