Cessna’s prototype Citation CJ2+ has completed its first flight on April 2.
The aircraft flew from Mid-Continent Airport for two hours and six minutes.
Its basic stability was tested as
well as its flap and landing gear extension and retraction, controllability, trim actuation, engine operating characteristics and basic autopilot operation.
“Compared to the CJ2, the CJ2+ offers customers enhanced performance and the most advanced avionics suite for this class or aeroplane,” said Cessna president and ceo Jack Pelton.
The first customer deliveries will be in the second quarter of 2006 and the next CJ2+ available for purchase has a delivery scheduled in the second quarter of 2007.
