Third SJ30-2 joins flight testing
Sino Swearingen Aircraft Corp. has made the first flight of the third FAA conformed flight test SJ30-2 aircraft for FAA certification. According to the company, all three test aircraft are flying aggressive FAA testing sequences as often as seven days a week.

According to the company, all three test aircraft are flying aggressive FAA testing sequences as often as seven days a week.

One test aircraft is for systems tests, the second is the aerodynamics and performance test aircraft, used to determine minimum flight speeds, handling qualities and more. The third aircraft is used to test function and reliability, avionics, systems, interior, and various other FAA requirements.

The company states that the flight test team has completed all critical high speed FAA flight testing and the company is on schedule to meet the projected certification for the second half of this year.
