Italian air rescue company Helitalia S.P.A, partner in the air alliance TEAM DRF, is now EN ISO 9001:2000 certified. The certification refers to the company’s operation areas in public transportation, Helicopter Emergency Medical Services, search and rescue, and aerial work and it shows that the air rescue comp-any fulfils the international requirements for quality systems. Along with this certification, Helitalia has introduced an internal quality management system to optimise its services. The system’s manual describes how operating processes are organised and how they can be improved.
