The informal environment that perfectly combines business and pleasure is attracting the big names of business aviation to BGAD05.

Comprising an exhibition, static display, meetings and an auction of business aircraft, all housed in

the pleasant surroundings of Cambridge City Airport on Thursday September 15th, BGAD is a perfect way for visitors to network, see their key suppliers in a small, crowd free area and generally enjoy a good

day out.

Cessna, Embraer and Dassault have recently confirmed their intention to take part in BGAD05. Cessna will be bringing a Sovereign demonstrator to display at BGAD, reflecting the company’s 30 year long association with Marshall Aerospace as a Citation Service Centre. Dassault is displaying a Falcon 2000EX EASy.

As well as the exhibition area and static display, BGAD is delighted to welcome the British Business & General Aviation Association (BBGA), which is staging an open meeting during the morning. BBGA meetings are always well attended, and this one will be used to also invite prospective members to find out more about the association’s work.

Plans are also underway to hold an auction of pre-owned business aircraft during BGAD. Full details

of how you can take part will be released soon.

BGAD will be again housed in Hangar 1 at Cambridge City Airport, with the aircraft displayed directly outside of the hangar, literally

a few metres from the booths. Car parking is nearby, with meeting rooms and full catering facilities a short walk away.

This is the third time that BGAD has been staged in partnership with Marshall Aerospace and the concept behind the event is to offer much

of what normally happens in a three day show, but compressing it to

a single day.

The rapidly expanding high tech business area in and around Cambridge – dubbed Silicon Fen – is a rich hunting ground for our industry, as many of the leaders of those companies appreciate the more effective use of their time that business aviation offers.

Cambridge City Airport is also

an excellent regional airport, with

full FBO and handling facilities

and access for any type of

business aircraft. Alfa1 Airways, the much publicised new airline operating scheduled services linking Cambridge with Oxford using AirMed’s Piper Chieftain fleet has raised the airport’s profile and shown the potential for business aviation operators to create additional revenue streams.
