Helisim, located close to Marignane Airport, has been awarded the level D qualification for its Eurocopter EC155 flight simulator.

Level D is the highest existing standard for flight simulators and it authorises, regardless of the type of training, the issue of a type rating qualification based on the zero flight concept. Since 2002, Helisim has received the level D qualification for three other Eurocopter simulators including: Super Puma MK1, Super Puma MKII, and the Dauphin DN2.

Each full flight simulator features a common six-axis motion base and a high resolution collimated display.

The database is able to generate all types of weather conditions and special effects, and has a worldwide database of airports and navigation aids.
