Gulfstream Aerospace now offers its High Speed Data System (HSDS), an internet and e-mail facility, on the mid-range G200 business jet. This is in addition to last October’s release of Broad Band Multi-Link (BBML) on the GIV aircraft.\rBoth the BBML and HSDS are satellite-based systems. According to the company, four Inmarsat geostationary satellites ensure fast and reliable communication anywhere in the world, with exception of the extreme North and South Poles. With HSDS, multiple passengers can use the internet or e-mail at one time and passengers can download large files using the Mobile Packet Data service.\rGulfstream also offers internet capability on the GIV and GV aircraft.
