Production lines for Cessna’s CJ1+, CJ2+ and CJ3 have been combined due to the part commonality of the models. The company has designed its models to be easily configured depending on the specific model being produced. Cessna claims it can build any CJ1+, CJ2+, and CJ3 airframe on the same production tooling, and therefore adjust production rates more efficiently and deliver aeroplanes to customers with shorter lead times.\rThe CJ1+ has already completed over 175 hours of flight testing since its first flight in October 2004 and is on schedule for its first customer delivery later this year. \rThe CJ2+ also continues to progress on schedule with the first flight anticipated this March, certification later this year, and first customer deliveries expected in mid-2006.
