Midwest reduces prices with ‘Flying Visit’ at EDI

Midwest Executive Aviation, which recently opened its fifth UK FBO, has launched a service which enables quick turnarounds at reduced prices.\r‘Flying Visit’ was designed to allow clients and operators to arrive at an FBO, drop off or collect passengers and depart within just 15 minutes. It was designed for customers who have no need for our lounge, crew rest areas or refreshments,” said md Craig Middleton.\r“In turn, our handling charge will be discounted by 50 per cent off the normal tariff rate. In its simplest form, if our customer only wants half our service, we should only charge half of the fee.”\rThe handling initiative will initially be launched for a trial period in March, available only at its Edinburgh FBO. Middleton stated that if it proves to be a success, the scheme will operate at other Midwest Executive FBOs.\rAs reported in EBAN’s October issue, the company chose Edinburgh as the location for its fifth FBO and, according to Middleton, it is already enjoying good levels of traffic.\r“Edinburgh, being the financial centre of Scotland, has always enjoyed high levels of traffic but it is ideally placed to attract passengers looking to venture to St Andrews to play or watch golf, and the Edinburgh festival is renowned throughout Europe,” he said.\r“We already enjoy a good client base through our other FBOs and they are delighted with the news of this venture; there is nothing better than positive feedback to encourage other companies to take a serious look in our direction.”\rAsked whether Midwest is planning to expand further in the future, Middleton says: “Yes! We are always looking to grow the business and are currently looking towards both Europe and the US.” \rMidwest’s other FBOs are located at Birmingham, Coventry, Newquay and Durham Tees.
