EC135 joins Helicsa’s expanding fleet
Helicsa-helicopteros has recently purchased another EC135, to join the five other EC135s delivered over the last two years for the company’s EMS search and rescue operations. With 35 bases in Spain, the company specialises in surveillance, fire fighting, and civil protection.

With 35 bases in Spain, the company specialises in surveillance, fire fighting, and civil protection. \rThe interior configuration of the EC135 has space for a doctor, nurse and patient as well as two crew members. According to Helicsa’s commercial assistant Emilio Fernandez Pardo, the EC135 is an appropriate aircraft for specialist operations. “It’s new, fast, reliable, and it’s simple to maintain,” he commented.\rThe helicopter joins Helicsa’s fleet of over 40 Eurocopter, Sikorsky, and Bell helicopters. The company has 100 pilots, half of whom previously trained in the army or navy. \rAnnual security and simulation training takes place all over the world, including France, Switzerland and the US.
