Bombardier has launched Skyjet International, a charter services programme incorporating the company’s Flexjet Europe and Asia-Pacific programmes.

Skyjet aims to provide unrestricted availability to a fleet of 900 jets worldwide, offering blocks of flight hours at fixed costs. The company

is also planning to establish the

brand in the Middle East region during February.

The block-hour programme will operate throughout Europe, the Middle East, North America and the Asia-Pacific region. Hours can be purchased with the company’s membership card and may be used for ad hoc charter services.

“Following the success of our

jet membership programme – introduced in Europe two years ago – the majority of our customers now

fly to, from and within different regions of the world,” said Skyjet International md Judith Moreton.

“This growing trend, combined with an increasing acceptance of business aviation in Asia and the Middle East, represents a unique opportunity to significantly raise the standard of business jet charter services worldwide.”

According to Moreton, the aim of the programme is to offer a ‘one-stop shop’, enabling clients to book business jet travel from one source, with access to a large worldwide fleet.

“The Skyjet brand is acknowledged across the aviation and leisure travel industries as the benchmark in North America,” commented Skyjet md Alexandre Monnier, “and we are very pleased to see this brand introduced in Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.”

Skyjet’s operations, including sales and contracts, will be coordinated from the company’s offices in London and Hong Kong, and the Middle East operation will be based in Dubai.
