Organisers of the general aviation sales show, Aerofair, have announced that the show will not take place next year. The next event is scheduled for May or June 2006.

Although Aerofair 2004 was regarded as a successful event, with about 90 per cent of exhibitors provisionally booking for a 2005 show, two major sponsors have reportedly withdrawn their backing from the event.

“Another component in our reasoning is that, having discussed the general aviation market

with many sales companies and clients, the consensus of opinion is that there is a general apathy and lack of enthusiasm, which has produced a downturn in the market,” commented organiser Anthony Hutton.
