The first International Heli Trade event took place in Geneva, Switzerland, in October, attracting 1,231 visitors during its three day duration. According to organisers, the exhibition has laid the foundations for the next pan-European helicopter event in 2006.

“International Heli Trade was launched with the intention of establishing the principle of a truly pan-European event and, judging by the feedback from this year’s participants, we’ve more than done that,” commented event director Moira Edwards.

“We’ve always set out to work hand-in-hand with the industry and we’re going to refine and develop the show according to what the industry wants. In particular, we’re going to respond immediately to exhibitor feedback by running the show every two years.”
