Swissport Executive Aviation has expanded its facility in Munich, adding a new operations office and crew lounge.

The operations office is now located inside the GAT, which the company believes will enable it to attend to clients’ needs more quickly and efficiently.

The office is used to coordinate bookings, flight assistance and passenger and crew handling services. The crew lounge is positioned between the small and large aircraft parking areas, offering direct access from the ramp. The soundproofed facility features a flight planning area and weather briefings as well as internet access and a TV and DVD player.

“We spent a long time considering the best way to expand at Munich and it was concluded that [at the GAT], areas for a lounge in the style and quality we wished to provide were too small,” said vp Alan George.

“We now give the ultimate in comfort to our most important guests, the flight crews.”
