Swiss company Business Jet Associates has developed what it describes as a fully integrated operations management system for charter operators. Developed by the businessman and pilot Stefano Costi and launched in April of this year, Bizflight is said to offer multiple services including: quotation and management services; order processing; automatic route generation and mapping aircraft and crew scheduling; crew licensing management; aircraft document management, checklists and multi-lingual functions.

Costi told EBAN how the idea for Bizflight came about. He said: “I was a consultant for Skyjet.com a couple of years back. Skyjet.com was one of those companies like Avinode, who run online booking systems. They were bought by Bombardier and I decided with my partner to come up with new aircraft management software. When I searched the market, I couldn’t find a piece of aircraft management software that was truly integrated. We feel Bizflight is the solution to that issue, and it’s what the market is asking for.”

Bizflight also allows what Costi describes as ‘progressive enhancement capability’, which allows customers’ responses and demands to be potentially incorporated as the system develops. Costi reports that Bizflight’s launch customer is Swiss company Execujet, who are said to be very positive about the new software.
