Avinode, which provides booking systems for charter companies, has joined forces with software provider CTA-FOS to integrate and upgrade its systems. Fred Powell of CTA-FOS explained how the move would benefit Avinode’s clients, saying: “The integration exports real time availability from the operator’s schedule in CTA-FOS directly into Avinode. This enables brokers to get instant information if an aircraft is available or not. It also enables brokers to find temporarily positioned aircraft and real time empty legs.”

According to Avinode, operators do not have to use CTA-FOS to integrate, as the company has agreements with a number of software providers.
