Raytheon has completed final studies in cabin sound levels for the Beechcraft Premier 1 business jet. The latest modification is a lightweight acoustic liner, which dampens sound levels during take-off. New measurements show decibel levels of 82.2 at take-off, and as low as 73.6 in long-range cruise flight, both lower than competitive aircraft, according to Raytheon.
Earlier this year, the Premier 1 also broke the two existing Cessna Citation world speed records to and from Las Vegas. Starting in Seattle, the Premier 1 flew directly to Las Vegas in 1 hour 44 minutes at an average speed of 499mph.
