Mayoral goes the extra mile with Falcon 200
Spanish operator Mayoral Executive Jet took delivery of a Falcon 200 in July. The aircraft, which is based at the company’s headquarters in Malaga, will mostly be flying to destinations in Europe, Asia and Africa, and will be used for a mixture of executive, ambulance and organ transplant flights, with about 50 per cent of its time being spent on corporate flying.

A company spokesman told EBAN why the company chose the aircraft. He said: “In the first instance, because our group of companies started needing to fly to further destinations. Also, we just like Dassault aircraft very much, and as we already own a Falcon 100, in order to remain with the same manufacturer, we decided to go for a Falcon 200.”

He added: “The main advantages for us are its nine passenger capacity and the increased range of 2,200nm. Its nine place interior includes a forward galley, there is a club four arrangement, then two individual seats opposite a three place side divan that can be converted into a bed, and following is an aft lavatory. It also features EGPWS, RVSM and TCAS II.”

So far, customer reaction to the company’s Falcon 200 has been positive. “Our clients are very satisfied with the comfortable cabin and the non-stop flights we have performed to further destinations.”

With the other aircraft in its fleet including a Falcon 100, three Piper Cheyenne PA31/42s, a Dauphin SA365, an AS350 Ecureuil and a Falcon 2000, managed for a private owner, Mayoral is hoping to incorporate another Falcon 200 and a Citation CJ2 in the near future.

The company’s willingness to incorporate more new aircraft reflect its views on the future of the market. A spokesman said: “The Spanish market is growing firmly. With regard to the recent of expansion of the EU, it’s difficult to do an analysis so early, but we are sure that it will have positive results and that the procedures and requirements to fly to the new EU countries will be much easier in the future for those of us involved in private aviation.”

In addition to charter, Mayoral Executive performs aircraft registation and maintenance.
