The Bell/Agusta BA609 tiltrotor is to begin ground runs soon in preparation for envelope expansion flight testing late this year. Meanwhile, the first flight test aircraft is continuing to undergo configuration modifications at Bell’s Flight Research Centre in Texas, whilst the second is at a flight testing facility in Cameri, Italy. The company has said that the third will be shipped to Cameri later this year.
