The success of the first Business Aircraft Park (BAP) at Farnborough International 2004 has prompted organisers SBAC to organise a bigger and better BAP for Farnborough 2006. The dates for the show have been confirmed as July 18 to 23, 2006 and the BAP is likely to span for three days.
Manager of exhibition promotion Philippa Ewart told EBAN: “We aim to move it further into the main show. It will still have its independence but we will hopefully put it somewhere along the flight line.” SBAC aims to work with exhibitors to maximise the benefits of the BAP and many of the exhibitors at this year’s show have expressed interest in exhibiting aircraft in 2006.
“We will be talking to the exhibitors of BAP 2004 and getting their views on how it worked out and how it can be improved upon,” commented Ewart.
As reported in August’s EBAN, deals amounting to $100 million were announced by exhibitors in the BAP at this year’s event.
