The work, which commenced in July, includes upgrades of security and passenger handling facilities, development of 13 acres of apron and a resurfaced runway with centre-line lighting. The airport’s air traffic services are also enjoying a complete upgrade, with a replacement control tower and a latest model instrument landing system being installed.
