NetJets has placed an order for 50 AirCell ST 3100 Iridium satellite communication systems for its growing fleet of Raytheon Hawker 400XP light business jets.

The system offers NetJets’ owners access to voice and data services at all altitudes and on the ground through the iridium network of 66 low-earth orbiting satellites. The phone systems will be installed in the 400XPs prior to retail delivery, in the coming months.

“The AirCell Iridium system provides a very effective balance between features and cost of ownership for the 400XP aircraft telecommunication system,” said Joe Bocsy, manager of avionics, NetJets.
