The whole fuselage of Dassault’s Falcon 7X has been delivered to the company’s Merignac facility. The aircraft’s fuselage assembly was completed at Biarritz in the south west of France, from components delivered from Argenteuil and from various partners’ facilities such as Socata and Latécoère.
“The scope of this project is enormous,” said Dassault Falcon president and ceo John Rosanvallon. “We have twenty-seven companies from seven countries partnering with us on the aircraft. We’re using entirely new digital processes, such as the virtual and physical plateau, and employing new tools provided by Dassault Systèmes, product lifecycle management technology, all based on extensive use of the digital mock-up.”
Robert de Rocquigny, Falcon division vice president for industrial operations, said: “The digital mock-up was developed with inputs from production people from day one.”
