Luxembourg Air Rescue has purchased three Zoll CCT M series defibrillators. Said a spokesman: “They bring together superior biphasic defibrillation, external pacing, complete monitoring, a multiple application printer and a large full colour display – all in a single portable unit, ideal for use in our helicopters and air ambulances.”
The second major upgrade has been the Medipréma Neonatal Incubator, which is a lightweight portable unit that is to said to enable a fast warm-up of the newborn and maintain a constant temperature whatever the environment and the power supply used. LAR employs three full-time doctors and 12 ICU-trained flight attendants and has recently developed a neonatology team that can be airborne within two hours.
