Operators at Berlin Tempelhof are resisting the Mayor of Berlin’s efforts to close the airport. Mayor Klaus Wowereit has been given local government approval to shut the airport, but the decision is triggering court action. Lawyers for onsite FBO TAG Aviation, together with legal teams from scheduled airline operators based at the airport, are preparing to fight the decision which would leave them homeless by no later than October 31, 2004.
