ATC Lasham has been approved to maintain Airbus types, including the A319CJ, at its facility at Southend Airport, UK.

The company has four hangars at both of its facilities in Southend and Lasham, giving it the capacity to house eight narrow-bodied aircraft. Although the Airbus approval is only for the Southend facility, the company aims to get approval at Lasham in the future.

“Our approval at Southend is for the A319, A320 and A321.Currently, our approval is for CFM56 power, with the IAE2500 being added in the near future,” said sales manager Nigel Bruce.

“The decision was made a year ago – we wanted to capitalise on the growing number of Airbus operators in Europe and took advantage of the summer period to train up for Airbus at Southend.

“We are talking to several operators about 320 and 321 maintenance,” said Bruce. “I think it will be a gradual process – we aim to grow into it.”

ATC Lasham also provides regular maintenance for six BBJs, as well as performing ad hoc work for European and Middle Eastern clients.
