Sikorsky says its S-92 medium-twin helicopter has become the first rotorcraft to be certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency. Transport Canada certification is also expected this summer and full icing certification is scheduled later this year.

The S-92 received FAA certification last December and production deliveries are scheduled to begin this summer, with twelve aircraft planned for shipment before the end of the year.

Last year, Keystone Helicopter of West Chester, Pennsylvania contracted with Sikorsky to provide executive completions for the helicopter. The first S-92 to get the Keystone vip configuration is scheduled for completion in December.
