Switzerland’s GV Executive has signed a multi-year exclusive agreement with Emirates-CAE Flight Training in Dubai for its Gulfstream V and Gulfstream 550 pilot training.

The agreement will make GV Executive the anchor customer for the new JAA- and FAA-approved Emirates-CAE Flight Training G550 full-flight simulator training programme.

CAE is also updating its Gulfstream IV simulator with an enhanced vision system (EVS) and is providing Gulfstream 300 and 400 training from Dubai.

In addition to the aircraft platforms mentioned above, the 14-bay centre also houses Airbus A319/ACJ and Hawker 800XP full-flight simulators.

A Bell 412 helicopter simulator is also being lined up to be added to the fleet.

During the next 12 months, CAE is also planning to introduce new training courses for the Citation X, Legacy, Hawker 800XP and Falcon 900B/EX using CAE Simfinity simulation-based training tools. Courses will be offered at Emirates-CAE Flight Training in Dubai.

The Simfinity training programmes aim to offer practical avionics, engine and airframe systems training to pilots.

Jeff Roberts, group president, civil simulation and training, is confident that the new courses will build on the company’s previous success. “The introduction of these new courses using CAE Simfinity is driven by the great response we have from our customers,” he said.
