Cold weather test success for Horizon
Raytheon’s Hawker Horizon has successfully completed a four-day deployment to Iqaluit, Canada, for cold temperature evaluation. Systems operation, navigation, communication and autopilot equipment were tested in temperatures as low as minus 30 degrees Celsius. “Engines, the auxiliary power unit and aircraft electronics started right away and performed flawlessly after a very brief warm-up time,” said senior test pilot Tim Miller.
