Jeppesen and the UK’s Atlantic Flight Training (AFT) have formalised a partnership pto develop JAA-specific training material. The first series of products will be a complete set of airline transport pilot license (ATPL) theoretical knowledge manuals, slated for release in early 2005.
Jeppesen says the partnership and launch of the ATPL manuals are the first steps in its long-range JAA training product strategy. The strategy also includes the introduction of new training products over the next three years in support of other JAA licences and certifications, including the commercial pilot licence (CPL), instrument rating (IR) and private pilot licence (PPL).
In addition to developing traditional text books for each certificate and rating, Jeppesen and AFT will introduce a full line of supporting products, which may include: test preparation, study guidelines, manoeuvres manuals, JAA-approved syllabi, lesson plans, instructor’s manuals and speciality aviation texts.
