London Air Show hailed as a resounding success
The first FLY! The London Air Show, held at Earls Court, has been hailed a success. Over 11,000 visitors attended the three day event, placing aircraft orders worth over a million pounds. Diamond Aircraft signed £1 million worth of business on the opening day. Diamond’s Bob Green commented: “It’s the best start to any show in which we’ve participated.”

Over 30 aircraft were displayed on the exhibition floor, including the MD 500 and MD 600 NOTAR. There were also specialists speaking on a wide range of topics, from affordable flying and flight safety to the legal aspects

of aircraft ownership and adding

an IR to a PPL. West London Aero

Club, Oxford Aviation and West

Flight Aviation discussed flight instruction programmes with visitors, and a dedicated section of the exhibition, Careers in Aviation, offered information about flying and non-flying aviation career options.

Said James Wilson, md of Fly BN: “We enjoyed a good level business.”
