Diamond Aircraft Service has taken over the general distributorship in Germany for Sino Swearingen Aircraft and its SJ30-2 jet.

Sino Swearingen, which came into existence as a result of the fusion between Swearingen Aircraft and and Sino Aerospace Investment, is heading into the final development and certification phase for the SJ30-2.

The company’s third prototype aircraft is nearing completion and FAA certification is expected by the middle of 2005. Deliveries of the SJ30-2 will commence shortly after certification. Ed Swearingen designed the aircraft, which is expected to achieve a cruising speed of Mach 0.8 with a range of 2,500nm IFR and reserve. The company claims that cabin pressure can be maintained at sea level up to FL410 and at an equivalent cabin pressure altitude of 1,800ft at FL490.

The jet is equipped with two Williams FJ44-2A fan engines and

a Honeywell Primus Epic CDS

three-tube avionics system, featuring two primary flight displays, a

main function display, flight

director, autopilot and flight management system.
