Gulf Aviation bases GII-SP in Dubai
Gulf Aviation International, a US-based leasing and financing company, has targeted the Gulf region for its aircraft leasing and financing business. Last year, the company says it structured and financed US$185 million worth of aircraft transactions during 2003.

The company has added two Gulfstream Vs and one Falcon 900B to its leasing pool which are presently leased to a Sharjah firm and a German aircraft charter operator, a spokesman said.

A Gulfstream II-SP aircraft is being based in Dubai for executive charter and aeromedical transport. The aircraft is leased to Cezno Corporation, a US-based multinational company.

At present the company is in negotiations to purchase new corporate and commercial aircraft for lease to private individuals, corporations and airlines. The spokesman added: “With its adequate financial capitalisation worth US$4.6 billion, Gulf Aviation is a leader in cross-border and multi-currency transactions.”
