Occitania asks for patience during administration period
French charter operator Occitania recently filed for bankruptcy and has now entered into administration.  The company’s UK spokesman Andrew Lee told EBAN: “The company has recently suffered from a cash-flow problem which has led to financial difficulties being experienced.

French charter operator Occitania recently filed for bankruptcy and has now entered into administration.  The company’s UK spokesman Andrew Lee told EBAN: “The company has recently suffered from a cash-flow problem which has led to financial difficulties being experienced.

“In order to rectify the situation and ensure a secure future for the business, it has been decided to place Occitania into administration. During the last few months, the company has commenced a radical re-shaping with many unprofitable parts of the business being disposed of and a reduction in staffing levels being initiated.

“The company has fully satisfied and been approved by the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC) to continue operations. The current fleet consists of one Citation Jet and three Falcon 50s.  A fourth Falcon 50 will rejoin the fleet shortly followed by a Falcon 900.”

Lee says he has received many calls of sympathy and support from United Kingdom brokers during the last few weeks. He added: “They appreciate the fact that one less operator in the market only means less choice for the clients. It’s very encouraging to receive such support in a time of radical change within

the company.

“We ask that our valued customers continue to support us through

these difficult times and be assured that the levels of professionalism and high standards of service which

earned made the company its good reputation, will be maintained.”
