The Barcelona-based operator Executive Airlines has recently started managing a Learjet 45. The company says the aircraft will fill an existing niche between the Citation Bravo and Falcon 900EX it currently operates, by offering a good alternative for business flights.
“We are especially proud to offer this new aircraft for charter,” said a company spokesman, “because for the first time since Executive Airlines has been in operation, we have succeeded in getting our first managed aircraft.
“This proves that the work we have accomplished as an operator, has started to be recognised by aircraft owners who want to save their investment, by adding their aircraft on to our AOC. Indeed the Learjet 45 covers the gap in our fleet in the light to midsize jets segment.”
Executive Airlines says the Lear 45 gives the company opportunities to improve its general availability and the quality of its services. Also, it allows the operator to enter new markets in Europe, “by providing our clients with a very competitive alternative for mid-range flights”.
Executive Airlines began a promotional campaign a few months ago to inform its clients about the further availability of a third aircraft from Barcelona.
Said the spokesman: “We have received a very positive response and we are very confident of achieving our goals in 2004 with this aircraft.”
Based at Barcelona’s El Prat airport, the company says the Lear 45 is ideal for all destinations in Europe.
