John Menzies has appointed Craig Smyth as the next managing director of Menzies Aviation. Smyth is currently Menzies Aviation’s director responsible for the Americas, and will succeed Peter Smith who retires at the agm in April, 2004. John Menzies’ chairman William Thomson said: “Craig is well respected in the aviation services sector. He has the necessary skills and experience to manage the business efficiently, to consolidate the rapid expansion of the past five years and to secure the rewards for our shareholders that we are determined to achieve.” Menzies’ dedicated business aviation company, Execair, operates FBOs at an increasing number of European locations including Dublin, Glasgow and Bournemouth.
