Air Alpha Aircraft Sales has been appointed as the exclusive distributor for The New Piper Aircraft Inc. in all of Scandinavia. “As of January 1, 2004 we have expanded our sales agency of aircraft from The New Piper Aircraft Inc. to cover all of Scandinavia,” said Bjarne Jorsal, md at Air Alpha.

“Previously this agency was divided between Air Alpha and Saab Nyge Aero in Nyköping, Sweden, but as a result of the expansion we now have the exclusive rights to sell factory-new Piper aircraft in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland and Greenland, as well as on the Faroe Islands.”

Air Alpha has been a distributor of New Piper aircraft since 1996 in Denmark and Greenland, as well

as in Iceland and on the Faroe

Islands. Until now, the company reports sales of more than 50 New Piper aircraft plus a large number of pre-owned aeroplanes.

“Our territorial expansion has been on its way for the last year,” Jorsal explained. “This is due to the fact that Saab Nyge Aero wished to cancel its dealership agreement with The New Piper Aircraft Inc, as it chose to focus on larger aircraft than Pipers.

“We have been negotiating on an ongoing basis, in order to take over the dealership in Scandinavia, and now we have succeeded. We are extremely content with the expansion as we now have the possibility of increasing our sales.”

The expanded distributor territory, says Air Alpha, makes it easier to have a larger stock and with that, a larger supply. “As we all know, it is nice to have the possibility of shopping in a store with a large selection,” Jorsal added.

Apart from sales of New Piper aircraft, Air Alpha is the exclusive dealer of the Italian Piaggio Avanti in Scandinavia. In addition, the company focuses its efforts on sales of pre-owned turboprops and jets, as well as helicopters.
