Lance Armstrong, the winner of this year’s Tour de France bicycle race, has been presented with a special yellow victory jersey by NetJets. The jersey was signed by the 160 members of staff who work at the company’s operations centre in Lisbon, Portugal. It had been ordered three weeks prior to the race, in anticipation of Armstrong’s fifth consecutive victory.
NetJets vice president Francisco Carvalheira said: “Lance has been a NetJets fractional aircraft owner for more than a year and we were all cheering for him.” Armstrong was also presented with a 100-year-old bottle of Port wine, by NetJets captain Francisco Carvalheira, in honour of him winning the 100th Tour de France race.
