Menzies Aviation Group and Universal Weather and Aviation have co-created a new company known as Ocean Bridge Handling Limited. The Ireland-based venture aims to provide and co-ordinate all ground-handling services around the clock for all types of turbine-powered business aircraft, from its headquarters location at Shannon Airport.
The facility, which is situated at the general aviation wing of
the main terminal, offers many services ‘at competitive prices’, including complete tele-communication services and a crew and passenger lounge.
Co-chairman of Universal Joe Rachelle said: “Shannon, Ireland is uniquely located along the Great Circle Route and is one of the historic transatlantic airports of choice, making it a regular stop for East and Westbound transatlantic operations.
“Ocean Bridge Handling’s services were created to raise the level of ground handling received by operators who travel along this frequently travelled route.”
