Jeppesen and Oxford to offer JAA test preparation
Jeppesen has teamed up with Oxford Aviation Training, based in Oxford, England, to provide an online test preparation tool for the joint Aviation Authorities (JAA) airline transport pilot licence (ATPL) theoretical knowledge examinations.

Jeppesen has teamed up with Oxford Aviation Training, based in Oxford, England, to provide an online test preparation tool for the joint Aviation Authorities (JAA) airline transport pilot licence (ATPL) theoretical knowledge examinations.

Known as JAA ATPL Online, the programme offers approximately 3,000 proprietary questions that cover all 14 subject areas of the JAA ATPL examinations. The companies say that subscriptions may be purchased for US$99.95 and allow for unlimited use during a 45-day period. Subscribers have access to the entire bank of questions and if necessary, may renew for an additional 45-day period.

Jennifer Whitlow, senior manager, Aviation Training Services said: “Unlike the FAA, the JAA does

not release examination questions to the public.

“Oxford has been compiling the sample test questions for years, which combined with Jeppesen’s proven online testing engine,

create a powerful training tool for the JAA market.”

Users are able to access the programme in two modes – study and test. In the study mode, users

access questions organised by

topic area while the programme keeps a running tally of the

questions studied and provides the correct answer when a question is answered incorrectly.

In the test mode, JAA ATPL Online generates a random test from a particular topic area and keeps a record of the last three test scores for each topic area.
